Things to consider for your video wall

A video wall is a multi-monitor wall that has many computer monitors, televisions and video projectors combined together like tiles on a wall to form a single large screen. The most common type is the LED video wall as it is high definition. The screens used in these types of walls have narrow bezels so that the gap between the areas of display are very little and are also built with longevity in mind. They come with the hardware needed to stack them together and include a wiring scheme that allows many systems to be wired together in a sequence form. There are certain command signals as well that are used for the entire screen as a whole for example, those that allow the power of the wall to be switched on and off or to increase and decrease the brightness. These video walls are found in control rooms and public areas such as stadiums that require large displays. Sometimes airports also feature these walls to showcase their services and other advertisements. Smaller venues also have these walls especially for those places where something needs to be viewed from a close point of view as well as from a distance. Those that are simple in nature may use video cards while those that have a more complex and diverse set up require video processors. These processors are those devices that allow the image to be displayed on all the screens by splitting it into parts. There is hardware controller that are give a high performance and are also reliable and allows a single video input that it splits to give the desired output. Software controllers are computers with their own operating system and come equipped with multi-purpose video cards.

LED video walls are becoming increasingly popular and consist of Direct View LED displays that work as a unit to showcase the content as a single screen. They are now being used in schools and other educational institutions as well as at exhibitions and banks. They are desired because of their efficiency as each part is responsible for emitting its own light as well as conducting it. LED stands for “light-emitting diode” which is a small light source that are durable because of their ability to conduct their light themselves. They can be thought of as small light bulbs that you can plug into a circuit but they will not burn out as the light comes from the movement of electrons. They also have the ability of showing the color black in its true form. The LED displays are mounted on a panel that is plat and the viewing distance needs to be kept in mind while constructing these video walls. Before you can get this wall installed you need to decide if you have the space in the location that you are choosing, where maximum views can be achieved. You should also take into consideration your budget while deciding the size of the wall so that it can be maintained later on as well.

In order to receive the best results from your LED video wall, there are a few things that you should do:

  • Use high contrast and brightness so that whatever you are advertising or conveying is vivid and will catch the attention of people passing by. It should be bright enough to make people stop and see what is being said. LED displays are known for providing clear pictures and you should take advantage of that.
  • Choose a shape and size that works for you. If you want to create something out of the box then something unusual and innovative is the best way to catch people’s attention. LED walls are seamless and you should choose a position that allows the content to be viewed from far away as well. Make sure to include animations and live feed to make the overall presentation have a lasting impact.
  • You should have a simple setup and these walls provide a consistent format of output which saves time in adjusting the input cables and the position so that the proper signal can be achieved.
